Born in San Francisco to William and Alma “Mimi” King. Pat attended St. Brigid's and St. Vincent's High School. Pat was known for her warmth, generosity, and her natural ability to make everyone feel at home. Her home was always an open door, filled with food, laughter, and evenings shared with family and lifelong friends. She had a gift for connecting with people; even a simple trip to the grocery store could often lead to a new recipe, a new number, and possibly a new friend.
Pat lived life with energy and joy. As a child, she loved to color, earning herself a $100 scholarship, and spent her days outdoors playing on Vallejo Street with her friends. She enjoyed tennis and ping pong in her younger years, later becoming an avid bowler. She loved to dance, play cards, and compete in bocce, often bringing home championships and great stories. Spirited and resilient she carried that strength throughout her life.
Pat was a devoted wife of 69 years to Vince Barsocchini. They met in the Sherman school yard in the 4th grade, through her brother, Thomas King and her father while playing baseball. They dated when Vince was a sophomore and she was a freshman. She was a loyal friend to many, often making people "part of the family." She was active in her children’s schools and community, and expressed her love through cooking. If you arrived unannounced you left well fed, full, and having shared in laughter and good company.
She is survived by her husband, Vince Barsocchini (91); her children; Debra, David, Lynn (John) and Lisa (Juan); her grandchildren, Casey (Cole), Dean (Jessica), Marco, Vincent, Briana, Jacob, Santino, and Devin and her great grandchildren, Beau and Harlan, for whom she always had a smile. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, William and Alma “Mimi” King, and her brother, Thomas.
Pat will be remembered for her kindness, vibrant spirit, and the way she brought people together, always making everyone feel like family. Her legacy of warmth, generosity, and joy lives on in all who knew and loved her. Her table was always full, her door always open, and her love will always remain.
A Funeral Mass will be held on May 21, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 666 Filbert Street, San Francisco followed by a Celebration of Life at the Italian Athletic Club, 1630 Stockton Street, San Francisco.
