Ping Shiu Chow

In 1947, she married Kong Hing Chow (who preceded her in death in 1983) in China and they immigrated to the United States and established their home in Santa Clara County, where they grew flowers for the wholesale market.

She enjoyed playing mahjong and competed fiercely with her friends. She loved to cook traditional Chinese meals for her family.

She is survived by her children Kenneth Chow (Lynn), Betty Nakamoto (Clifford) and Lily Chow.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10:30 am at the Green Street Mortuary, 649 Green Street, San Francisco, CA 94133. Internment at Greenlawn Cemetery will be held after the service and lunch will follow at 2:00 PM at Peninsula Seafood Restaurant, 641 Jackson Street, San Francisco, CA 94133.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Chinese Hospital, 845 Jackson Street, San Francisco, CA 94133 or to the Bay Area Chrysanthemum Growers Association Education Fund, 763 Ringwood Ave, San Jose, CA 95131.
