I met Portia,  through my sisters,  one of whom has the same name. They all, belonged to the same global church. 
My family lived in NYC. Though I was not a member, I did attend some of the church's social functions.  Portia would on occasion, visit NYC and we soon became friends. I got to talk with her  when she and my sisters would call each other.  She was one awesome lady!
I do miss my friend, greatly.
