Rande peacefully passed away at her home in Antioch at the age of 74, in the company of family on Tuesday May 13, 2025. Daughter of David and Marie Rudinger, born on August 4, 1950 in Sonora, California. She attended Sonora High School, after which she attended beauty college and became a licensed hairdresser.
After a successful career, she shifted gears and went into automotive. She started at Montgomery Wards and went on to have a remarkably successful career at Goodyear where she started in sales / service, progressed to store manager, then went on to be a district trainer for the San Francisco Bay Area. Rande worked at several dealerships and automotive repair establishments throughout the area, before an early retirement so she could care for her mother in her later years.
Knowing Rande was a blessing, she was truly special, and her memory will be cherished in our hearts forever. She was a fierce momma bear when it came to her two wonderful daughters, Serena and Jesse. Rande was a beautiful, intelligent, one-of-a-kind woman, a trendsetter before her time, an influencer before there was such a thing, and not one to be trifled with. She was also one of the most loving, kindhearted, accepting people one would ever hope to know. She marched for LGBTQ+, reproductive, workers, and civil rights. She was unapologetic, uncompromising, and she lived life on her terms.
She was a wonderful and supportive wife and partner to Brian for 38 years. She enjoyed walks along Ocean Beach, summers at Lake Berryessa, attending motor races in Monterey and Sonoma, and long motorcycle rides with Brian.
Rande was preceded in death by her daughter Jesse Huestis, her parents Marie and David Rudinger, and her cherished grandmother, “Grammy” Josephine Sanders. She is survived by her husband Brian Fealy, daughter Serena Valentino, Serena’s partner Justin Holeman, step-grandson Finn Holeman, cousin and best friend Cristy Relyea and cousin Cathy Richmond.
Rande asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Guide Dogs of America, The Trevor Project, or the Southern Poverty Law Center.
