Our deepest condolences for your loss. My husband Charlie Vowell worked at the Miraflories Power plant and reading through the remembrances brought back memories of people in Panama I had long forgotten. When you have an obituary written, please send a copy to the Panama Canal Society with a picture to record@pancanalsociety.org

I’ve always said to myself how hard it is to say goodbye to someone we love. It’s also the worst part of our lives that we have to deal with. But I also believe Mr. Dunn is in a better place now, a place that one day we all will meet together with love. Tim and I send our deep condolences for all Mr. Dunn’s family and friends.

Thank you so much, Mr. Dunn, for giving us a place to stay, the cute, little downstairs apartment, on our short vacation with Susi.

We pray for all your family, especially Alex and Robert, and your close friends, for strength to overcome the loss of such a good man with such a lovely heart.

To a man who will be truly missed! Bob was quite the character and as much as he was a practical joker, he was just as generous. He show his generosity in many ways. And the guy upstairs will be truly entertained now that Bob is up there with him. You will be missed by all of us! Ray

I will always remember (and was a bit grossed out) with Bob & Alex's sheer delight as they chowed down on chicken feet dim sum but we so enjoyed the wonderful dim sum assortment they would share with us on the ranch! Dim sum, crazy stories, kind words, sincere caring and love for his family and friends...Bob, you are one of a kind and will never be forgotten. We felt the love from you and now our heart goes out to Sai and Alex, and the rest of the family. With so much love, Karlene

We had great times with Roberto who was a loving father to Roberto and Alex. He invited us to his house every year at Christmas.. We went trick-or-treating with Robert and the kids. He was a great host. Great memories!

I admired Robert's work ethic. He enjoyed nature and we had great times together with Adela at the hot springs in Pereira.

I first met Bobby in 2012 when he and Sai came to visit us in Singapore. Bobby and Sai were very happy together and made for each other. We had a wonderful time. It should be mentioned that a perfect Irish Coffee was one of the highlights of his culinary capabilities.

Bobby was also blessed with a keen eye and engineering skills that made him the ultimate problem solver with anything mechanical or electrical. You name it, he’d fix it. He’d done it his whole life.

Bobby is a person with a heart of gold. He had a passion for volunteering where possible, was ready to jump in when needed and enjoyed playing Santa Claus each year.

Bobby was also the perfect host for anyone who came to visit him and Sai. From time to time Bobby would pull out all stops with the barbecue for a traditional American steak meal! They had a great time.

I believe Bobby had lived his live to the fullest and he was a wonderful son, father, grandfather, husband and friend.

His sudden passing broke our hearts. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I want to offer my sincere condolences to Bob’s wife and the Dunn family. Bob was a great guy and a friend, always willing to help you and of course loved to joke around and pull pranks. I was the recipient of one of his classic pranks.
I will truly miss Bob, RIP Brother
