He was born on March 14, 1929 in Wellington, New Zealand. He was raised in Parora, New Zealand.
He was married to Shona Manning for 53 years and together they had one son, Simon Manning.
Ron was a self-made man, owning and running his own businesses from the age of 21.
His work and hobbies were one in the same, business and thoroughbred horses.
He approached business and life with incredible optimism and generosity.
Ron was always interested, curious and engaged.
He leaves behind a loving wife Shona, a proud son Simon, a daughter-in-law Darcy and two wonderful granddaughters Dylan and Morgan Manning.
