Rose Lorraine Azzolino passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022 at the age of 92 surrounded by her immediate family. She was born and raised in North Beach, San Francisco to Italian immigrants Vito and Marie Mauro. She was the first set of quadruplets born in San Francisco's history on April 25, 1929. She went to Garfield Grammar School and Galileo High School. She worked at Bank of America Headquarters in private securities. She loved North Beach and was very involved and devoted her time to the Salesian Mothers Club, Salesian Boys & Girls Club, Knights of Columbus, working at the Sts. Peter & Paul Bazaar and making sandwiches for the homeless. Most of all she loved playing cards on Saturday nights with relatives and friends, lots of trips to Reno especially for Hot August Nights, playing the slot machines. She loved her phone conversations with her family and friends. She was an avid 49ers and Giants fan. She had such a strong love for her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was so proud to be a grandmother and great grandmother. She was the best Mom, Nonni, Big Non, aunt, cousin and friend anyone could ask for. We will all miss her Calabrese cooking that she shared and taught us all.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Richard, sister Marie (Allan) Melluish, brother Phil (Irene) Mauro, sister Elena (Nick) Granelli.
Survived by her children, Rich (Laura) Azzolino, Laurie (Mark) Donohue, Steve Azzolino; her grandchildren Vito (Anne) Azzolino, Ria (Tony) Pesenti, Patrick Donohue, Stephanie (Tom) Gallinetti, Danielle Donohue, and her great grandchildren Brooklyn, Olivia, Santino, Luciana, Henry, Milania and Caileigh. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10:30 at Sts. Peter & Paul Church, reception immediately following at The Italian Athletic Club.
