Spencer Quentin Cartmell was a beloved son to his parents Jerome and Erica Cartmell. Spencer was a loving boyfriend to Elizabeth Reisteter and a best friend in many of the individual lives he has touched. He lived a passionate and expressive life from when he was born on Oct 6, 1993 in Souderton, PA until he passed into the next life in his sleep on Feb 18, 2023.
In 1998, his family moved to Jacksonville, NC where he was raised the 5th child in his family of 7 siblings; Steven, Sabra, Stephanie, Stewart, Shawna, Sharlene, and Synthia.
At 18, Spencer came to California on a dream with just dreads and his brother's military bag. Those that knew him picture him smiling, singing, gripping a sketchbook, or skateboarding. He devoted his life to skateboarding ever since he was a child still in elementary school back in 2005. Spencer's older siblings describe him as an energetic boy always trying to break free, eager to explore and experience the world. He embraced learning and grew skilled in art, culinary arts, photography, language, music, and poetry. While enhancing these skills he held many culinary jobs but his favorite job was the home he found at DLX (Deluxe) Skateboarding warehouse. Spencer was a giving, selfless, thoughtful, and sentimental man and his artistic style resonated in the way he spoke, dressed, drew, skated, cooked, and loved...
Join us in celebrating his life during his funeral service on Tuesday Feb 28, 2023 at Green Street Mortuary within the hours of 1pm to 5pm.
