Sue Shimosaka, 96, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on June 29th after a brief battle with cancer.
Loving wife of 52 years to the late Masashi Shimosaka. Beloved mother of Ken Shimosaka and Nancy Shimosaka McBride (Dan). Preceded in death by her daughter Linda Ko.
Survived by grandchildren Ho-Doug Ko (Cynthia), Mary Wong (Craig), and Ho-Yin Ko; and 3 great grandchildren. Also, survived by loving son-in-law Tat.
Sue was born in San Dimas, California on September 11, 1917. She was the eldest daughter of five children. She settled in San Francisco to raise a family and worked for the City and County of San Francisco. Sue was a life-long sports enthusiast playing tennis, golf, softball and bowling. She bowled for over 55 years and was always serious about improving her game.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 12 noon at Halsted N. Gray – Carew & English, 1123 Sutter Street, San Francisco
