Thelma was born and raised in her beloved City of San Francisco to the late John and Josephine Dito. She lived a full, long wonderful life of 100 years and four months filled with love from family and friends. She grew up in North Beach and attended Galileo High School class of 1938. She was an avid tennis player at Helen Wills Playground. After moving to the Marina District she went on to become an executive secretary for Transamerica Corporation for 30 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
Thelma had many happy times with family at their summer home in Sonoma CA, barbecues, playing cards, lounging on hot summer days and watching the stars at night. In 2002 she and husband Frank moved to Davis CA along with her daughter Joan where she enjoyed spending precious time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Unfortunately in 2004 she lost her beloved husband Frank.
She was always the first to reach out to a family member or to one of her countless friends if they were in any sort of need. She was a tremendous cook of Italian specialties and a great baker especially known for her Italian biscotti which she shared with everyone. She also loved playing bingo each week and watching Wheel of Fortune, her favorite TV program.
She was so proud of her age. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Due to Covid-19, a private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105
