Una Champion Patterson

Una was born in Limerick, Ireland on May 17, 1927 to Richard and Delia (Duggan) Champion. She immigrated from Ireland to New York City in January 1953. Una married Thomas J. Patterson on July 2, 1960. She enjoyed many years as a secretary in the banking and insurance industries. In addition, Una was an accomplished dress maker. She was quick to make wonderful friends wherever she went. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her adventurous and independent nature, her passion for travel, and her love of family.

Una is survived by her daughters Deirdre Appel and Diane Patterson, their husbands, Gregory and Darin, and her grandchildren, Madeline, Sophia, William, and Simon. She will always be loved and never forgotten.

Friends are welcome for visitation 10:30 AM Friday, Jan. 3 at St. Dominic Church, 2390 Bush St. SF where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
