

Victoria Clarke Smith, native San Franciscan, passed away on August 7, 2014 after a brief illness. Vicki was born June 14, 1929 to Dorothy Kingwell and James Victor Clarke. She was third generation at the City's Convent of the Sacred Heart, and attended Cal. In 1949, she married Ward Miller Smith of Santa Cruz. Tragically, he died in an automobile accident in 1956. Vicki was a longtime real estate broker. She was the loving mother of Sharon "Sherri" Bullard (Jed) of Lexington, Kentucky, and a loving grandmother to Ward (Becky) and Wells (Harding). She was a proud great-grandmother to Jack and Gracie; and beloved aunt of Suzi (Mark) Molofsky and Wendy (Don) Brown. Predeceased by her sister, Carolyn "Tammy" Jones. A determined and fiercely independent matriarch, Vicki loved life, her family and friends, and the game of bridge. She was a member of the Francisca Club. In accordance with her wishes, a private family service was held on August 29th at St. Dominic's prior to burial at Golden Gate National Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held later; please contact the family for details.
