Kit, the guy with a bright personality and an infectious laughter, passed away peacefully Friday, March 9th, 2012.
Kit was born in Hong Kong in 1970. He immigrated to San Francisco in 1982 at the age of 11 with his parents, older sister and younger brother. He attended Benjamin Franklin Middle School (1984) and George Washington High School (1988). Kit is survived by his wife Margie; his daughter Chelsie Lui; his son Ryan Lui; his parents Yuk Kwan & Wai Yee Lui; his sister & brother in-law Carter & Agnes Chan; and his brother Lucas Lui.
Kit was a loving husband, a devoted father, a prodigal son and an amazing man. His dedication to helping others and making people laugh will always be the way we remember him by. Even in the toughest of times and the darkest hour, Kit knew exactly the right things to do and say. He would lift our spirits and provide guidance, all the while chanting his favorites sayings: "Get back to work!" and "Are you stupid?" Although we can no longer hear Kit's laughter or ask him for advice, we should find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives through every single one of us.
We all know Kit was a natural born leader and a workaholic. He began his 26 year career at Harman's at the age of 16 with Albert and Hazel at 6th & Geary and ended as an Area Consultant for the North Bay Region. Kit never treated Harman's as "work" – he saw every single person as his family and treated everyone with the same level of respect. If you had the fortune to work with Kit, you know that he only wanted the best for you and would never let you down.
Kit's love of traveling, golf and parties will forever be remembered by the countless memories he created with us. He was and forever will be the life of the party. He would've wanted us to cry only for a minute; and to immediately celebrate his life by sharing memories and creating more laughter. Kit hasn't left us; he will remain in our hearts forever.
Until we meet again, Kit; rest in peace.
