My heart breaks with and for you. Yumi was beloved, and she will remain in our hearts. Hers was a life well-lived and well-loved. May you realize that many people are sending you caring thoughts.
With sorrow,

Yumi was a lovely lady. I had the pleasure of spending time with her on a few layovers. We spent the day touring Jersalem and Bethlehem and time in Istanbul. She was always sweet and kind, someone you were always happy to work with. With deepest sympathy to her family. Eileen Steigerwald

There are people in this world that, when you see them, everything just gets better, your mood, your energy, you feel happy. Yumi was one of those people. Watch over us now, dear friend.

I did not have the opportunity to fly with Yumi while she was based in New York, however, I had the pleasure to get to know her through times together with our Pan Am family in Connecticut. It was always evident that she adored Bob, Roman, and her mother in San Francisco and I send each of you healing thoughts and prayers. I was always so impressed by her class, beauty, and inherent kindness for others. She will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Bob and family. I remember Yumi from when she flew out of LHR in the 70s. She was always beautiful and smiling.
