I read this - most of this - at the memorial service for our Mother:

Memories of Alice - Mom

Mom was a wonderful lady, a great mother. She treated all our friends like family. 
I remember once a friend of mine, Roy, stopped by to pick me up. I think we were headed to a concert, it's been a long time. Anyway.. Mom was just forming dinner plans. She asked Roy if he would like to join us, he said yes. During dinner Roy ate like a horse. He was a little guy, but ate like he was starved. We learned that Roy's parents were divorced, and it had been a while since he'd had a full home-cooked meal.  He was very thankful.  This was the first time Mom had met Roy.
Mom was forever teaching us, and giving us an edge.  For instance, she was there when we were learning to ski.  We’d had lessons, but we were still on the bunny slopes.  Mom made us all look like achievers, it must have taken a couple of hours for her to ski the bunny slope once, while the rest of us managed to get a couple of runs in that morning.
She was a teacher, as well as our mother.  As young adults, she taught us about fairness. She also taught us about our civic responsibilities.  She insisted we register to vote, and that we exercise our rights by voting.  It was only later that I’d learned she had given money to both the Young Republicans and the Young Democrats of America.
The day my future wife met Mom, Lynda and I had not even started our romance.  Mom looked Lynda over, then looked me straight in the eye and asked - loudly - “WELL, DID YOU MARRY THIS ONE YET!?”  My stepdaughter - who was perhaps 14 at the time and did not want to be there, tried her best to disappear.
Most of all, though, Alice was our Mom, and I will miss her dearly.

Mother taught us to how to learn, to be kind, to be accepting.  She was never petty, or self-centered.  Living with her from 2004-2006 was a learning experience.  Lynda, my wife, absolutely loved visiting with Mom.  Now they can sing duets in Heaven.


Alice Deliman mother to Belle Mike and Myself Grand mom to Chris   was a gentle kind loving and forgiving sol. 
Growing up she could be stern but always loving . As we all grew and went our  seperate ways 
She was still always there for us and we tried our best to be there for her .belle , Steve , Chris and myself all had fun times taking care of her  as she got older and stepping in when we had to in order to save her from herself at times. While it was hard to see her suffering with the disease that eventually took her from us long before this day i would still call her from New Zealand and listen to the chants and songs as well as talking to her as often as i could some times we could have a good conversation other times she was lost in her own world . With love we now give her to god to look after her .      

Love you Mom - Rest In Peace safe in the arms of Jesus ❤️🙏❤️

I have many memories of my sister and I together during happy times.    She was my sister but also my dear friend and  I miss her dearly.  My condolences to her children, and their spouses.  Her grandchildren and step grandchildren.  My heart  is with you all.
