A Prayer Service will be held at Pierce Brothers Turner & Stevens Mortuary, 1136 East Las Tunas Drive, San Gabriel, CA 91776, US, on September 17, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Anthony Catholic Church , 1901 S San Gabriel Blvd, San Gabriel, CA 91776, on September 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Alice was a beautiful child and one of 11 children. Our family moved from El Paso, TX to San Gabriel, California in 1964. Alice was a kind, loving, person. She attended Rosemead High School and continued her studies at East Los Angeles College. With a great love and passion for animals, she worked as a Veterinary Assistant for many years.
Alice loved all her family. She developed a special bond with her twin nieces, Ava and Abby at only a few months of age. For years, she helped with their care 3 - 4 days per week and always brought educational materials for them. One time she put up a 4-ft. long poster of our Solar system and at age 2, the twins knew every planet by name and location. She genuinely had a “Teacher’s Heart” and a kind and gentle spirit.
Alice is survived by her two sons, John Paul and Adam, younger brother Frank, by six sisters: Carmen, Sara, Mary, Rosa Betty, Margie, Dolores, by her long-time partner, Ray and Ray’s daughter, Evelyn, and, by many cousins, nieces & nephews
who loved her dearly.
Alice was very creative and talented,
and at times composed her own songs and poetry.
We will all miss her and her beautiful spirit.
