My memories of my Auntie Angela are many... far too many to be able to write in just a few lines.  I shall share with all of you some of the most important ones... Many of those are of my Auntie also with my Grandmother (her sister) and me.  They were both two very strong women who faced head-on any problems that would arise and also defended their family with all it took.  They also had very sweet moments with those of us who they doted on in their own way.  The were both such close sisters that not only did they both pass away at the same age of 89 (they were five years apart) but also my Auntie passed only two days before the fifth anniversary of my Grandmother's passing.  Whilst I did not have the privilege of having held my Grandmother's hand the moment she left us (as she passed in her sleep), I did have the privilege of being with my Auntie Angela and holding her hand as she passed away.  She passed away at 10:20 am on Thursday, 13 August 2015 hugging her stuffed Kangaroo toy I gave her with her right arm and a photograph of my Grandmother with her left arm.  All in the presence of her daughter Barbara Linda caressing her head, her daughter Susana Maria holding her right hand and I (her grandnephew) Jesús Manuel holding her left hand; with the nuns of Santa Teresita singing and praying as she entered heaven. 


Mis recuerdos de mi Tía Ángela son muchos tantos que no pudiese escribirles en sólo unas pocas líneas.  Lo que haré es compartir con todos vosotros unos de los más importantes Muchos de esos recuerdos son de mi Tía también con mi Abuela y conmigo.  Las dos fueron mujeres muy fuertes que dieron cara a cualquier problema que surgiera con casta e hicieron por su familia todo lo que pudieron.  También tuvieron sus momentos dulces con todos a los que nos querían.  Fueron hermanas tan unidas que no sólo se murieron a la misma edad de 89 años (las dos se llevaban 5 años de edad) sino que también mi Tía murió solamente dos días antes del quinto aniversario luctuoso de mi Abuela.  Aunque no tuve el privilegio de cogerla de la mano a mi Abuela en el momento de que nos dejó (ya que murió mientras dormía), sí tuve el privilegio de estar con mi Tía Ángela cogiéndola de la mano mientras moría.  Ella murió  a las 10:30 h. el jueves, 13 de agosto de 2015 abrazando con brazo derecho a su canguro de peluche que la regale y con el brazo izquierdo una fotografía de mi Abuela.  Todo en la presencia de su hija Bárbara Linda que la acariciaba su cabeza, de su otra hija Susana María que la cogía su mano derecha y de yo (su sobrino-nieto) Jesús Manuel que la cogía su mano izquierda; con las monjas de Santa Teresita cantando y rezando en el momento en que entro al cielo.

I shall always have for my Aunt Angela the respect and love she deserves; and also remember her in the company of my Mother (her sister) and of her brothers that have passed away.  As for me all of them including their younger brother that is alive, have been and are an example of what being good siblings should be and I feel proud of all of them for the manner in which they faced life since they were children.  Indeed, they have been a family that was honest, decent and with good values.

A mi Tía Ángela le tendré el respeto y cariño que se merece, la recordaré acompañada de mi Madre (su hermana) y de sus hermanos que se la adelantaron.  Porque para mí ellos y el hermano menor que les sobrevive siempre serán un ejemplo de lo que ser buenos hermanos significa y me sentiré orgullosa de todos ellos por la casta con que se enfrentaron a la vida desde pequeños.  Lograron ser una familia honesta, decente y de buenos sentimientos.

Only a loving mother like you, Angela, could have raised the sweet loving family I had the blessing to grow up with!  Thank you for being such a great mamma!

Kindness and strength comes to mind when I think of Angie, may you be remembered fondly by all of whom loved and cared for you, God bless!

Is same persons who came to our lives, but persons like Angela,are a blessing and leave a happy remembers for ever. She is now with the creator free of suffering and happy again.

May your smile be remembered and your legacy lives on in your family.  You will be truly missed.

I love you, Mommy, and I miss you so much, but I know you are in a better place free of suffering, with your mind all intact again after 16 years of Alzheimer's. The picture above is of you on your wedding day and I liked it because you look so happy. I feel that is how you look now, all young and beautiful and happy again. That is my consolation.
