Charlotte Anderson, beloved wife and retired teacher, died of heart failure on September 24, 2026. She was 95 years old. She had been a dedicated teacher for over 50 years. Some of that time, when she was younger, was spent overseas educating children of military personnel on military bases in Germany and Japan. In the states she worked mostly with kindergarten pupils and first grade pupils. She was well educated with a master’s degree in Education and was also bilingual. It was surprising how many answers she knew when watching jeopardy.
She loved to cook, dance, work in the garden, and travel. She was an expert seamstress, often sewing on projects for friends and fellow teachers. She could play the piano and create quilts and wall tapestries in her spare time. She traveled very often to Europe as much as she could. And she loved sailing on cruise ships. She was born and raised in Pasadena and was proud of being a spectator in nearly 50 Roses Bowl parades on News Years day.
She never had children of her own, but she loved hosting Christmas Eve parties for relatives and friends. She also loved animals and she had many pets during her lifetime.
She is survived by her husband, after their 40 years of marriage. She will be greatly missed.
