On Sunday, March 5, 2023 our loving Mother and Nana, Germaine Giovanna Cunningham went home to Jesus at 9:15 AM at the age of 84. She is survived by her two sons, David Scott Cunningham and Christopher Paul Cunningham, grandchildren, Melissa Lee Davis, Lindsay Marie Vaughn, Holly Marie Cunningham, Nena Pauline Mack, Hannah Shay Greene, Alicia Lavendar Cunningham, Joshua David Cunningham, and Tina Louise Bost. Great grandchildren are Isabella Luz Neira Padilla, Chloe Abigail Davis, Olivia Lauren Davis, and Ryder Robert Vaughn. Germaine was married to William Leon Cunningham for 35 years before his passing in 1998. She had many wonderful friends, most for over 50 years.
Germaine was born in Youngstown, Ohio October 30, 1938. She made Temple City her home in 1965 with her husband on Florinda Ave. then Doreen Ave. before purchasing their home on Sparklett St. where she resided since 1971.
Germaine was active in her community. She attended Saint Luke’s, Calvary Chapel, and First Baptist Church in Temple City for many years. She was a PTA president in the 70’s when her children were in school. She was involved in sports for her children and grandchildren at Live Oak Park. She loved Temple City. The Camellia bushes planted at her home showed pride for her hometown. She was an absolute proud American and resident of Temple City.
She was a true servant, she loved the LORD and her family.
