HERMELINDA RIVERA, 76

Hermelinda (Gloria) Rivera, 76, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014.

Born in Oaxaca, Mexico, she was the loving wife of Trinidad Rivera and mother of Michael Rivera.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Michael & Adrienne (Nashville, TN), her brother and his wife, John & Cheryl Cervantes (Oceanside, CA), sister Concepcion Rosa Gomez Solano & daughters (Mexico), and a wealth of extended family and friends.

There will be a rosary at 7pm on Tuesday (2/25/2014) with services the following morning at 9am(2/26/2014) – both at St. Lucy’s Church at the corner of City Terrace Boulevard and Hazard Avenue in Los Angeles. A graveside service will follow the church ceremony at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, CA.

The family will receive friends the afternoon of Wednesday (2/26/2014) at the Lincoln Heights Senior Citizen Center from 2:00pm to 5pm. The center is located at 2323 Workman St. Los Angeles, CA 90031. Senior Center telephone: 323-225-9339.

Hermelinda (Gloria) Rivera, 76, de Los Ángeles, CA, falleció el jueves, 13 de febrero de 2014.

Nacida en Oaxaca, México, fue esposa de Trinidad Rivera, y madre de Michael Rivera.

Le sobrevive su hijo y su esposa, Michael y Adrienne (Nashville, TN), su hermano y su esposa, John y Cheryl Cervantes (Oceanside, CA), su Hermana Concepcion Rosa Gomez Solano y hijas (Mexico), y una gran cantidad de familiares y amistades.

Habrá un rosario a las 7p.m. el martes (25/02/2014). Servicio de misa se hara la mañana siguiente a las 9a.m. (26/02/2014) – ambos eventos se ubican en la Iglesia de Santa Lucia en la esquina de City Terrace Boulevard y Hazard Avenue en Los Angeles. Un servicio de tumba seguirá la misa, en el Cementerio de la Resurrección en Montebello, CA.
