Born March 15, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska he was the son of the late Helen and Frank Turk and the youngest of eleven children. He graduated from St. Cecelia’s Cathedral in 1953, then served in the U.S. Army and upon his return married his high school sweetheart, Patricia (Scholz) and relocated to California to begin their married life.
He later worked as a manager for AT&T for over 32 years. He was a member of the San Gabriel and Arcadia Elk’s Lodge, and the American Legion and an avid bowler for many years. He was a “Husker” fan to the end, and enjoyed watching Nebraska football, Angels baseball and Golf.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia, daughters, Rita Rodriguez and Anne Turk (Robert Gladysz), grandchildren Andrew and Ashley Rodriguez, his twin brother Joseph Turk, sisters-in-law Margaret Cronin, and Irene (Milton) Kethan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing 5-7pm Tuesday, September 11th, followed by a Rosary at 7pm at Pierce Brothers-Turner Stevens 1136 E. Las Tunas Blvd., San Gabriel, CA
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 12th at 11am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 5605 Cloverly Ave., Temple City, CA 91780, followed by Internment in Riverside National Cemetery.
