

Jon passed away surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the stars. Born on April 3rd, 1957 in Los Angeles, Jon was destined for greatness. From a young age, he exhibited an insatiable curiosity about the cosmos, which ultimately led him to pursue a career with JPL. Taking on such projects as deep space exploration, landing rovers on Mars, and endless investigations of the vast universes beyond the eyes reach.
Jon's love for space extended far beyond his professional endeavors. He could often be found gazing at the night sky, mesmerized by the beauty and vastness of the universe. Whether discussing the latest space mission, launching rockets out in the desert, or sharing his extensive knowledge with others, his enthusiasm was not only evident but infectious.
In addition to his dedication to space exploration, Jon was a cherished family member and friend. He had a warm and compassionate nature, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. His laughter filled the room, and his presence brought joy to those around him.
Jon is survived by his mother, Annette, his sister, Danette, and his nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish his memory and carry on his passion for space exploration.
Though Jon may have embarked on his final journey among the stars, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us as we venture into the unknown. May he rest in peace, his legacy shining brightly across the vast expanse of the cosmos he loved so deeply.
