Richard James Aragon was born to Deceiderio and Mary Aragon on December 13th, 1937, in Los Angeles California. He was the fourth of five children; his siblings were his older sisters and brother'; Marian, Petrita, John and younger sister Gloria.
He attended St. Ignatius Grammar School, in Highland Park and graduated from Saint Francis High School, in La Canada. He then entered the Air Force where he spent the next four years. After his honorable discharge as Airman 2/C he began his career in the Aerospace industry and became a Quality Assurance Engineer. He spent 40 plus years in the industry, retiring from JPL in 2009.
In 1964 he and Marilyn Jo Raffa were married at Mission San Gabriel and they have enjoyed 53 years together.
They have two children Mark James and Lisa Marie, there are four grandchildren Melanie, James, Nathan and Jeremy and grand kitty Suva.
He was preceded by his siblings Marian Katapka and John Aragon. Jim is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children Mark and Lisa, granddaughter Melanie, his grandsons James, Nathan, Jeremy and his sisters Petrita Costa and Gloria Rooney, in addition to his many nieces and nephews
