Susanna “Susie” Dolores Madrid was born on September 22, 1968 to parents Marcella C.Madrid and Luis P. Madrid in East Los Angeles California, their fourth child after three boys Louie, Jesse and Angel. She was Big Sister to two little sisters, Christine and Lilly. She grew up in San Gabriel, participated in Rosemead Rebel Cheer (whom she would help coach when her youngest daughter was old enough) and went to Rosemead High School until she gave birth to her son Marcos A. Madrid in 1985. She would finish school, and go on to have 3 more children, Jesse, Christina and Samantha. Sadly, her son Jesse passed away when he was 7, losing his battle with neuroblastoma in 1996. In 1999, she followed her parents to Las Vegas Nevada where she would live for a couple of years before returning to California. In 2003, she moved once again to Las Vegas to live closer to her parents and where her youngest daughter Samantha would settle. Susie stayed in Las Vegas until 2019 when her oldest son passed away at the age of 33. Susie would live with her daughter Christina's family until the end of her life on January 16, 2022 at the age of 53.
Susie leaves behind her father, her 5 brothers and sisters and her two remaining daughters and their partners and grandbabies. She joins her mother Marcella and her beloved boys in Heaven.
Three of her children would make her a Nana to 7 grandchildren with an 8th on the way. Susie was Mama to her children, Nana to her grandchildren, Raelyn, Adrienne, Mateo, Violet, Nalani, Christian and Ingrid, Tia to her beloved nephews and nieces and Prima to everyone else. She loved more than anyone knew despite all of the heartbreak she experienced in her life with the loss of her sons. Susie loved to attend concerts in the park, dance and sing with her grandchildren, listen to music of all kinds, and being surrounded by her family.
May she find peace and comfort in the arms of her Lord until we can meet again, one sweet day.
