11/05/1941 – 10/28/2025
Charles Baltierra, better known as Charlie, passed away early Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the age of 83.
Charlie was born in San Juan Capistrano, California on November 5, 1941 to Sebastian and Maria Baltierra. Charlie lived in San Juan Capistrano his whole life until he retired in 2005. At that time, he and his wife, Judy Baltierra, moved to San Jacinto, California, where they lived together until her passing in 2024. They were happily married for 53 years and truly were soul mates.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Julie Corral-Zepeda and her husband, John; and, his son, Efren Corral (Jojo), his wife Sarah, their two sons, Anthony and Adam; and, Charlie’s faithful dog, Rocky. Family meant everything to Charlie. He is also survived by his brother Bob Baltierra, his brother Joe Baltierra, and his sister Mary Ybarra. Six other brothers and sisters have preceded him in passing.
Before Charlie retired, he worked at the Saddleback Unified School District in Mission Viejo, California for over 30 years as a Plant Foreman. Before that Charlie was an executive chef for an aerospace subcontractor. He loved to cook, work outside and create or fix things with his hands. He was a jack of all trades. In fact his family called his grubby clothes his Superman outfit because he could make or fix anything. And many times he was a hero to his family and others when they were in a pinch. However, Charlie’s favorite thing to do was to eat. He was a true foodie and loved to cook at home (he was famous for his breakfast potatoes!), or to go out to eat with family and friends. All the restaurants knew him and some would see him coming and have his drink at his table waiting for him. Everyone loved Charlie.
Charlie served in the Army in his 20’s, so he will be interred at the Riverside National Cemetery with his wife Judith in a private service. The world lost a friendly, loving man, but we all are grateful to have had him in our lives. Thank you all for the outpouring of love for this wonderful man. Rest in Peace Charlie.
