Alex was born to Alia and Mary Figueroa. He was the oldest of five children. Born and raised on The Big Island of Hawaii was where he endured in his love for food; where he had specialty skills for one of his main dishes, guandule rice which now is called Grandpa’s Rice. He married the love of his life Rosa Figueroa. They had 3 children, Sandy Subia, Ana Veliz and Alexander Figueroa III. How they loved their grandchildren & great grandchildren, four boys Joshua Subia, Justin Subia, Oscar Alia Dominguez and Jarvis Subia. The love for their great grandchildren was so heartfully: Alia Subia, Justin Subia Jr., Josiah Subia, Jayden Subia, Maria Dominguez and Rosita Dominguez. Alex loved to dance, he always kept everyone dancing, he also sang many songs which he recorded. He worked for Van Waters and Roger, 40 years in that industry until retirement. He was well admired with his charismatic personality till the end. He loved gardening and evolving the tropical plants he grew up with. He lived a full life; may he rest in peace.
