

Alice Glazer of San Jose, California, passed away at her home on October 17, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was 89. Born in New York on March 17, 1936 to Milton and Sarah (Auerbach) Zudeck, she was a graduate of Malvern High School and later attended Syracuse University, Yale University, and the University of Maine, where she received her bachelor’s degree. While at Yale, she studied art with the celebrated artist Josef Albers. She married Donald Glazer in 1956, living in New York, Maine, and Pennsylvania before eventually settling in San Jose, where she has lived for fifty years.
Alice was predeceased by Donald to whom she was married for 53 years. She is survived by two sons, Daniel and Kenneth, and their respective spouses, Daniel Paylor and Elisa Glazer, and her grandchildren, Adam and Sophia, and Adam’s wife, Karoline.
Alice taught art in middle school for a number of years before retiring from teaching to work with Donald in real-estate financing for several decades. She was an avid tennis player, golfer, player of bridge and mahjong, traveler, reader, painter and sculptor who filled her home with art. Alice was loved by many and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, her family invites you to make a donation in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
