Alice is survived by her 2 sisters Ann and Sue and is predeceased by her brother Ben. She is also survived by her nieces Julie and Kristin.
Alice had a gift for making people feel seen and cared for in the small, steady ways that matter most—checking in, remembering the little things, and showing up with a quiet kind of consideration that never asked for attention. And if you were lucky, you also got the other side of her: the perfectly timed remark that could set a room off laughing—sometimes at your expense, always in good fun, and somehow still leaving you smiling.
She loved her dog Toki, a beautiful mixed shepard, and the companionship and joy Toki brought into her days. She also delighted in collecting cookbooks, and simply flipping through them—those photos, those possibilities—was often enough to bring a smile to her face. In her own way, Alice reminded everyone around her that warmth can be both gentle and hilarious, and that thoughtfulness doesn’t have to be serious to be sincere.
