Allen Raymond Stevens passed away on July 25, 2026, at the age of 48, leaving behind a legacy of strength, dedication, and compassion that will never be forgotten.

A lifelong resident of San Jose, California, Allen devoted his life to the martial arts. As the founder of The Institute of Martial Arts in San Jose, he fulfilled his dream of creating a place where students of all ages could learn not only mixed martial arts but also discipline, confidence, respect, and perseverance. Allen was both an active fighter and a gifted instructor whose passion for the sport inspired countless students and fellow athletes. Throughout his competitive career, he earned numerous titles and championships across California, gaining the respect of the martial arts community through his skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

Outside of the gym, Allen embraced life with the same passion and intensity that he brought to competition. He had a deep appreciation for lowrider culture and loved motorcycles, finding freedom on the open road and joy in the friendships built through those communities. Whether he was training fighters, working with students, admiring a beautifully built lowrider, or riding his motorcycle, Allen lived life with purpose and authenticity.

Those who knew Allen will remember his unwavering determination, generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and his ability to encourage others to become the best version of themselves. He believed that true strength was measured not only by victories in the ring but by integrity, resilience, and the willingness to lift others up. His influence extended far beyond the walls of his gym, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Allen is survived by his beloved daughter, Arianna Ruby Stevens; his loving partner, Lynette Cruz; and Bella Rose Cruz, who held a special place in his heart. He also leaves behind countless students, friends, training partners, and members of the martial arts community who will continue to carry forward the lessons and values he shared.

Though Allen’s final fight has come to an end, his spirit lives on in every student he mentored, every life he changed, and every person inspired by his courage, kindness, and unwavering dedication. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
