1930-2021
Alvin was a veteran. He was a general contractor who ran his own company. He was a hard-working man and one hell of a strict father who loved his family.
He is survived by, his Wife Elinor; Children Sue, Nancy, Robert, Rebecca and Barbara; 12 beautiful grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Alvin loved to get up early in the morning before the sun came out. His day always started by going out front to feed the ducks. He would always say he has to go feed the ducks and his dog before his first cup of coffee. They always came first!
You could hear him say, “Good morning ducks” as they would follow him around. He had two that lived in the front yard and two lived in the backyard.
I think animal’s sensed he loved them because he would even have squirrels come to the back door and get food from him!
When we were kids, we would go camping; we would find a stray dog- we would bring it home; he'd be on a job, find a snake- he'd bring it home! It did not matter what kind of animal it was, my dad would take it in.
Our Dad loved to garden.
Every year, he would plant flowers in the front and in the backyard.
His garden was beautiful.
Dad, we miss you, we love you and you will always be with us.
