He raised his young family in Cordon, Isabela, Philippines from 1970 to 1984. In 1984, he left a career in the Philippine Department of Forestry and immigrated to the U.S. He settled with his family in San Jose, CA. He spent many productive years at Kaiser Electronics building his U.S. career while making friends along the way. After retirement in 2009, he kept busy with various home improvement projects. He also enjoyed tending to his garden and cooking his favorite Ilokano specialties.
Amado was a devoted husband and a caring father who always put the needs of his family before his. He loved sharing stories and reminiscing with friends and his church brethren; he particularly cherished the family get-togethers and visits with relatives. His humor, intellectual curiosity and engaging personality will be missed by family and friends alike.
