Preceded in death by his loving daughter Toni

Leaving behind his wife of 66 years Jo-Jo

His three sons, and daughter

“Motts”. As all his friends called him had a colorful life
He only had an 8th grade education, trading in a school chalk board
For chalk cube for his pool stick. Raised himself in the pool halls, bowling alley hustling for money and being a caddie at golf courses from Monterey to San Jose,
As a young man coming in 7th in the State bowling championship.
Met Jo-Jo in 1952 as they worked together at John’s Pizzeria on First St in San Jose
He started work for Central Concrete in 1957, that year he also cheated death
Getting ran over on his motorcycle on the way to work one morning
Motts worked at Central for 22 years, leaving there as the #1 driver
To become a Concrete contractor, opening Western Concrete that he ran for over
30 years.
Along the way he had other endeavors. An oil roofing company and a restaurant with his wife The Country Kitchen
Mott’s 15 minutes of fame came during the Jerry Lewis Telethon when he raised
Money by parking his cement truck in the Gemco parking lot and putting donations in the drum of the truck, going to Channel 11 and dumping the donations at the station live on TV.
Services will be Monday Jan. 7th at Oak Hill Cemetery. Viewing from 9-11
