Avelina Villinueva Matias, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2024. She will be remembered as a devoted servant of God who maintained her positive attitude through all of life's trials. She is survived by her loving sister, Mary Greenwell, her niece, Catherine Moore, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who all miss her deeply. Born in Hawaii, Avelina was an avid traveler and enjoyed cruises and making pilgrimages to religious sites the world over. She retired from Lockheed Martin after a distinguished career and was a strong proponent of education and the youth in her local community.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at noon on December 23rd at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church, 750 Sequoia Dr. Milpitas, CA 95035, followed by burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
