It is with great sadness that the family of Carlos De la Cruz Raimundo announces that he went home to his maker on Friday, March 23, 2018 at his home in Elk Grove, California. Carlos will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Cristina (Serafim) Mendonca, Liza (Michael) Glover, and Nancy (Vu) Chau, as well as seven grandchildren Audrey, Michael, Ava, Carter, Carson, Carlo, and Norah and many siblings, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Carlos was predeceased by his loving wife of 30 years, Hedy Herman Raimundo.
Carlos was born on November 4, 1942 in Manila, Philippines to Lourdes and Juan Raimundo. He was one of 9 children, survived by Roger, Cris, Linda, and Grace, and predeceased by Teresita, Edgar, Valentino, and Cora. He earned a Bachelor of Commercial Sciences from San Beda College in the Philippines and had a successful career in banking and real estate. He was an avid golfer and served on the Board of Directors of the Philippines American Golf Association from 1998-2000.
Carlos truly lived life to the fullest and was always surrounded by family, friends, and laughter. His most memorable qualities were his generous spirit, kind and gentle nature, and his desire to make sure everyone was well fed. Carlos had the uncanny ability to know when somebody was in need, and always went out of his way to give anything he could, or arrange for help in any way he knew how. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
We invite all friends and family to come celebrate the life of Carlos.
