August 26, 2025
On August 26, 2025, at 8:27 P.M., Carmen Consuelo Justus peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and children. She went to be with our Lord and Savior.
Carmen was born in Nogales, Arizona, to Esther Coronado Duran and Angel Duran. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—deeply loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Charles Justus; her two children, Rachel and Daniel Masters (Dolores) ; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, and Andrew Masters; and her great-grandchildren, Ezrah,Reign and Josephine Mae Masters. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
Carmen lived a life marked by grace, strength, and unwavering faith. She had an outgoing wisdom and a nurturing spirit that made everyone feel at home in her presence. Whether it was through a warm meal, a thoughtful prayer, or a simple phone call to check in, Carmen had a way of showing love that was both gentle and powerful.
She loved gardening, cooking for her family, and sharing stories from her childhood in Nogales. Her apple pies were legendary, and her laughter could light up a room. She was the heart of every family gathering, the one who remembered every birthday, and the first to offer help when someone was in need.
Carmen’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She prayed daily for her family and friends, and her Bible was never far from reach. Her legacy is one of love, humility, and devotion—a legacy that lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28
