Carollynn Rita Bothelio

March 9, 1950 – December 19, 2025

Carollynn Rita Bothelio, lovingly known as Carol, passed away on December 19, 2025, in San Jose, California, at the age of 75.

Carol was born and raised in San Jose, where she built a life rooted in family, faith, and service. She graduated from San Jose High School in 1968. After high school, Carol married Bill Bothelio, and together they raised two children, Billy and Angela Bothelio, who were the pride and joy of her life.

She was the daughter of the late Mary & Joseph Aguilar and grew up alongside her siblings: sisters Diana Aguilar & Mary Jo Rosales and brothers Joseph & Rudy Aguilar.

Carol dedicated 20 years of her professional life as a Program Librarian at IBM. Following her retirement, she continued her lifelong commitment to service by becoming a Catechism teacher at Christ the King Catholic Church in San Jose, where she touched many lives through her faith and compassion.

In her personal life, Carol found joy in gardening, yard work, crafts, and listening to music, especially oldies and old-school favorites. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Carol was known for her loving and caring nature. She selflessly supported family and friends during times of loss, often helping others navigate funeral arrangements and offering comfort. She also devoted herself to caring for sick loved ones whenever help was needed, embodying generosity and kindness in action.

Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of compassion, faith, and devotion to others will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
