Catalina was a great Woman, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother who passed away quietly surrounded in love and peace at home on Saturday, April 25th, 2020 at the tender age of 104.
She was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to parents Audencio and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, David Perez, and her children, Josefina Mena and Guadalupe Perez (her Lupito), twins Sabina and Gloria, and Roberto, whom she will join in Heaven.
Catalina was generous, outgoing, and enjoyed attending fiestas. She also liked to sew and was very creative. She especially loved her role as an Abuelita. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important — the simplicity of living a life with those you love.
She is survived by her loving children; Manuel Perez, Ismael Perez, Maria Nevarez, Micaela Saracut, Eustorgia Perez and Elena Perez. Her legacy continues through her 15 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren, whom she loved and touched deeply. She will be forever be missed by her family and friends.
