Caterina was born on December 26, 1943 to Antonio & Teresa Guidace in Benestare, Calabria, Italy. She came to the United States at the age of thirteen with her mother. They first arrived in New York and shortly after settled in California. While growing up in San Jose, Caterina went to Holy Cross Church and was in the choir where she got the attention of Mario Ventimiglia. Caterina and Mario got married six months later and went on to have three children.
Caterina was a woman of many talents and interests. She stayed active at Holy Cross Church by singing in the choir and volunteering for church events. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. She had various hobbies like singing, painting, building LEGO sets, camping, fishing, and hunting. She loved cooking and baking, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Mario, daughter, Joanne (son-in-law, Edgar), son, Anthony (daughter-in-law, Debra), son, Eric (daughter-in-law Katrina), and grandchildren, Marcus, Natalia, Mia, Jada, and Matteo.
