Catherine Mary Rennie

Catherine Rennie Creel (Kay), 94, of San Jose, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born on November 2, 1928, in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Patrick and Catherine (Quimet) Dineen.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Miron) and Beverly (Meagher). Grandmother of Lonett, Danielle, Barry Jr., Sean, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by husbands Raymond Rennie and Dewitt Creel and son Barry Rennie. Predeceased by siblings: Roseline, Emeline, Margaret, Agnes, Edward, and Francis.

Kay was very blessed to have two great men in her life. She had very caring and compassionate neighbors that looked out for her after the passing of her late husband. Kay enjoyed having lunch with friends and shopping. Christmas was her favorite holiday. In her younger days if she could get to the beach that is where you would find her.

Services will be on June 20, 2023, at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, San Jose, CA.

We are holding a memorial service at the Grace Chapel from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Pathways Foundation, 585 North Mary Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085-2905. They took such diligent care of mom.
