

age of 80, following a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. Surrounded
by the unwavering support and love of her family, she faced her final
moments with dignity and peace.
Celia Delgadillo was born in San Nicolas Ibarra, Jalisco, Mexico, on January
20, 1945, to Angel and Jesusita Delgadillo. She was the second youngest of
eight children and was preceded in death by her parents, her loving
brothers, Manuel and Tony, and her beautiful sister, Marina. She is survived
by her three brothers, Jesse, Arnold, and David, and her remarkable sister,
Donna.
Celia attended Andrew Hill High School in San Jose and worked as a field
laborer and in canneries to help support her parents and family. She was
once the queen of a Cinco de Mayo contest when she was 16. Shortly after,
she met and married Manuel Hector Valderrama on July 18, 1964, at 19. Their
family grew to include their four children: Hector (Marie), Elvira (Jess),
Angel (Michelle), and Celia (Robert); nine grandchildren: Angel Jr.,
Angelica (Kyle), Edward (Sarah), Christina, Manuel, Monique, Emma, Robert,
Raymond; and three great-grandchildren: Kehlani, Edward, and Zaine.
Celia was passionate about sports, particularly the San Francisco 49ers and
Giants. Her hobbies included sewing, puzzles, crossword puzzles, gardening,
and journaling. She will be remembered for her spirited personality and love
of See's candies and sweets.
