It was Chuck and Phyliss who hooked me up with his eldest brother, Phil, in September of 1971. It came as a surprise to Chuck that Phil and I became engaged after dating for 3 months.

Chuck will always have a place in my heart as my favorite Brother-in-law.  Mischievous, yet one who was generous and very caring of others. 

My memories  of Chuck span 54 years. He told me once that I married "the Better Brother".  Chuck's Brother, Phil, died 2 months earlier.  Our adventures will always be with me we shared with Chuck and Phyliss.

I worked with 'Chuck' at EDD Workforce Services Capitola and Salinas. We were both veterans representatives with the title of Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER). We assisted area veterans with training, resources, and employment. Chuck loved his work and was very knowledgeable about the LVER position and procedures. I would often consult with him on veterans benefits, support and employment. He was well-liked by staff and management. He often reflected on his military service and on his family members. He would 'check in ' with me frequently and I always enjoyed hearing from him. He worked very closely with the VA on his benefits as a veteran, and always shared valuable and important information with me and many other veterans. Chuck was a great Air Force Airman. He will be missed. Carry on, brother!

I had the privilege of working with Chuck at the Capitola California Employment Development Department Office. Chuck was one of our Veteran Reps. He was always ready to help a Vet find a job, access Unemployment or Disability Benefits, or find other services. When I had my hip replacement in 2015, Chuck lent me his walker. He will truly be missed. He always made the office a happier place.

I worked with Chuck in Capitola CA, we were both veteran representatives and our jobs involved helping those veterans in need get jobs, housing and education. Chuck loved his job and loved the veterans he met and helped. Chuck was my friend, and I will miss him.
