

Charles N. "Carlos" Vasquez, age 95, of San Jose, California, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. Carlos was born in Los Angeles, California, on November 5, 1926 to Amado and Francisca (Nava) Vasquez. He married his beloved wife and life partner, Louise (Tinoco) Vasquez on September 8, 1951.
He is survived by: sons Charles Jr., Sammy and Daniel; daughters Evelyn Freeman and Phyllis Wright; sisters Bertha, Bea and Frances; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Carlos was predeceased by his wife Louise, sons Arturo and Richard, and brothers Jose, Jesse, Manual, Amado and Louie.
Carlos was a proud member of the U.S. Air Force (April 1946 - Dec. 1948), serving in World War II. He was a proud member of the Labor International Union of North America.
Carlos enjoyed spending time in his garden and visiting with neighbors on his daily walk. He loved laughing and reminiscing with his siblings over long lunches.
He will be missed by his many friends and relatives who loved him.
Visitation for Carlos will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Lima Family Erickson Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. Rosary will be said that evening at 7 p.m. A final viewing at Lima Family Erickson begins at 9 a.m.,Thursday, January 13, 2022, with the funeral commencing at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at 12 p.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2650 Madden Avenue, San Jose.
