A Lasting Tribute to Charlotte's Mental Health Work:

Charlotte was known for her involvement in community issues. She was never afraid to encourage those doing great work or to make her feelings equally clear when the services were not up to par. She was passionate about the work of El Camino hospital, where she spoken often and candidly with Michael Fitzgerald, Donna Shoemaker and others on the El Camino team.

She greatly appreciated their thoughtful, painstaking and forward-thinking approach to solving the difficult problems this work entails and for sincerely trying to do the right thing for patients and community.

She was particularly excited about the opening of a beautiful new mental health pavilion to serve inpatient and outpatient programs. This facility is right in the heart of the Mountain View campus, not hidden away in the back of a building.

Sadly, she was not able to attend the ribbon-cutting that happened this past week. But her colleagues and friends at El Camino, together with her family, would like to see her honored at this facility.

If you would like to be part of this tribute, donations can be made to El Camino Hospital Foundation online at http://elcaminohealth.org/promise or mailed to El Camino Foundation, 2500 Grant Road PAR116, Mountain View, CA 94040. Please note that your donation is in Charlotte Ross’s memory and designated for mental health and addiction services. You can learn more about the programs at their website, but two programs that were particularly dear to Charlotte's heart are:

•	After-School Program Interventions Resiliency Education (ASPIRE)
•	Maternal Outreach Mood Services (MOMS) – an outpatient program for pregnant and postpartum mothers who are experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or obsessive compulsive disorder

I am watching the Oct. 12th episode of PBS RetroReport. I saw Charlotte Ross' comments on suicide prevention, and the fact the program noted that she passed.

I wanted to offer a quick thanks. She did important work. Her contribution is not forgotten.

I am truly saddened to hear of Charlotte’s passing. She was one of the most influential women I have ever known. She was a fierce advocate for many. I can still remember how when she entered a room, full of power and confidence at a time in an era where there were few examples of strong women. At the same time she was a woman of extreme compassion. She made such a difference in my life, and I will treasure each memory of her. My sincere condolences to the Ross and Fisher family.

Aunt Charlotte was fire and she was strong, full of positive energy moving forward. She will be missed though she leaves an indelible memory in this heart, missed but not forgotten.

Charlotte was our next door neighbor. She was a great person and we enjoyed her wonderful stories over occasional cups of tea etc. It was a pleasure helping her out when she called us, and we will miss her very much.
