Dear Jim,

Exactly 18 years ago, when my family moved in several doors down from you and Cheryl on Abbey Rd in Urbana, Cheryl came to our door to welcome us to the neighborhood carrying a beautifully wrapped zucchini bread. Cheryl modeled neighborliness and became an important friend. She also gave our family one of our favorite recipes and every time I make zucchini muffins she is in my heart and mind.  A new neighbor moved in a few days ago right across the street from your house on Abbey. I pulled out Cheryl's recipe to make them the welcome loaf and finally decided, after all of these years, to try to find Cheryl and thank her again. I am so saddened to see that she has passed.  She was a warm woman and I know your family misses her greatly. Love to you, Jim. 

I was so sorry to hear about Cheryl.  I met Cheryl years ago when we were both members of CPEA in Peoria.  She had such a gift with little children.  My sincere condolences.

We are so sorry to hear of Cheryl's passing.  We have good memories of our time with your family in Troop 88 many years ago.  We offer our deepest sympathy.  Cheryl was a wonderful person.
