Mr. Chris "Bigdog" Valdez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Valdez, who passed away at the age of 73.

Known affectionately as “Bigdog” to family, friends, and the many young people whose lives he touched, Chris was a man with a heart as big as his nickname. He never turned away someone in need and was always willing to offer a helping hand, a place to stay, a listening ear, or words of encouragement for those in need. He was like second father to some and a source of strength and guidance for others.Chris was a devoted husband and an extraordinary father who spent his life working tirelessly to provide for his family. Everything he did was motivated by love. He made countless sacrifices to ensure his family had every opportunity to succeed and every reason to feel secure and loved. His family never doubted how much they meant to him.

One of Chris’s greatest joys in life was his grandson, Jordan. The two shared a special bond that brought immense happiness to Chris. He loved taking Jordan to football games, watching him play, and cheering him on every chance he got. Jordan was his rock, and the pride and love Chris felt for him were evident to everyone who knew them.

Chris’s legacy is one of unconditional love, generosity, hard work, and devotion to family. He leaves behind countless memories, lessons, and stories that will continue to live on through those who loved him. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his spirit will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Chris will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered.
