She is survived by her daughter, Alice Contreras; granddaughter, Lisa (Michael) Picazo; great-granddaughter, Selena (Nicolas) Martinez; and great-great-grandson, Luca. She is also survived by her siblings, Reyes Chaparro (100) and Aurora Walker (95), along with five half-siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was joined in heaven by her beloved husband, Andrew Contreras; her son, Andy Contreras; her daughter-in-law, Rosie Castro; and her brother, Felipe Chaparro.
Lena, lovingly known to many as Nani, lived to be 97 years old and remained in strong health until she entered eternal rest. She lived a beautiful, full life, touched the hearts of many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at Chapel of the Roses on January 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow.
