Constance Marie Sorrentino

December 7, 1929 – May 21, 2020
Obituary of Constance Marie Sorrentino
IN THE CARE OF

Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park

Constance (Connie) Sorrentino passed away peacefully the morning of May 21st, 2020 while surrounded by her loved ones at home. Connie was born in Chicago, Illinois the youngest daughter of 8 children. Her parents moved to Chicago from Italy in 1905.

She married Joseph Sorrentino in September of 1954 and had three children, Joseph, James and Suzette. They moved to San Jose in 1959 where the children would grow up. It speaks to her capacity for love and her commitment to family that she is survived by so many. She has nine grandchildren, Sarah, Jason, Nick, April, Jared, McKenna, Delaney, Tessa and Tristan. She cherished each and every one of them. Another joyous part of her life was her six great grandchildren, Brady, Kadence, Laci, Jamie, Keaton and Kayden.

Connie became ill the last few weeks of her life. Up until then, she was as strong and independent as she could be at 90 years of age. She was an avid reader and a history buff. She was also a self-described “realist” who wasn’t afraid to tell you the truth. While she may finally be resting in peace, she will be missed greatly and unwaveringly by her family and friends. She is survived by her children Joseph (Karin), James (Rose), and Suzette, and all of her extended family and friends who loved their Grandma, GG, Aunt, Cousin, Friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph after 63 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her parents Louis and Grace, brothers Frank, Tony, Vince and sisters Marie, Lena, Rose and Josephine.

In lieu of sending flowers, please make donations to Kaiser Hospice, San Jose.
