Thirteen somber without you and our lives have been forever changed. Today is your birthday and you'll be on everyone's mind. We'll talk, laugh, and cry as we remember our "Big D"  We never had the chance to play our chess game and drink that bottle of wine, but   we will do just that, one day soon. D, there is no one who could ever fill the void our family has now that your gone. You always looked after me like a older brother. I've been thinking about you a lot brother. dad is going crazy without you you can just tell he's different now. Im trying to be as strong as I can for him and my sis in law & neices and evryone else but you can only be so strong. our life will never be the same anymore. but I guess that's just how life is we always have to deal with drastic changes whether it's for the good for the bad. one thing I know is that you're safe and you're with your mom. I love you more than you'll ever know. a piece of my heart left with Philip and a piece of my heart left with you. Tell my baby that I love him and that I always have and always will. he will always be in my heart forever. tell him that our daughter loves him so much and always ask for him everyday. that I will never forget about him and I will always make sure to have our daughter remember him for the great dad that he would have been. well big brother until we all meet again I love you so much.

It's hard to hear when a family member passes especially when they are so young. I know who you are because of my mom, we've been away from home for a long time I'm sure we've hung out and played when we we're kids since we're the same age my love and prayers go out to your wife and babies and the rest of the Family R.IP. Mejo, we never know what we have till it's gone...I'm never going to stop missing your love, your hugs and your kisses.  Your bigger than life presence made an impact on all five generations of our family. When my great-grandson was told that a family member had passed and that he probably didn't know you, he said "Mom, I do know him, he gave me a big hug at Grandma Virginia's house and told me "Always take care of your Mom."
