Dear Darlene, or should I say Mrs. Wilson as that was what I had to call you back then.  I looked for you over the years.  I wanted to tell you in person how much you meant to me and how you impacted my life in a way my own parents could not.  I had an opportunity to see you again last year but this time, I could not.  I needed to remember you as you were back then - my failing, my weakness, my loss.  You live with me now - in my memories, my thoughts. Your zest for life, your smile, your caring and giving ways,  You were and are a model I wanted to emulate in so many ways.  Mostly, you were there in ways that I am unable to be there for others like I wish I could be.  There are some memories that are so vivid, it is as if they were last week rather than 40 years ago. I remember the book you wanted to write. I hoped you would.  The title comes to my mind regularly as it is poignant in so many ways, you always said it with a glint in your eye and a slight smile on your lips - "Tomorrow, Maybe".  I have written many chapters of that book in my mind over the years as I know you did as well. I know not what comes after this life so I know not how to end these words I so wish I had been able to share with you in person. My deepest love and respect - Lynne
