Chaid family,
I told my sister Terrie Aiyegbusi that you family member David passed away.  Terrie is my sister her last name was Porter at Overfelt.  She knew Mr. Chaid as well as I did.  Terrie is convalesencing at Cupertino Health Center on Voss Ave, in Cupertion, CA 94104.  She has diabete very badly and she cannot walk anymore unfortenantly.  She has been there for 5 months now and she just had a birthday on November 6, 2012.  She will miss David Chaid.  Her sister Patti Wand

Hello To the Chaid family. I remember Mr. Chaid.  I was a student when I met him at Overfelt high school.  I think it was 1972.  He had a great rest for African American students like me.  I appreciated that.  He was a great person.  I told Mr. Nick Leon about him passing, but he said he had to go out of town.  Chaid was a good authority figure and I appreicated that.  He did a good job at my high school.  I never got in trouble with him there.  I did well under his authority because I understood he did not play, but ment business.  I love you Mr. Chaid!  I told my bestfriend June Cordova about him passing too.  Her name now is June Olivas.  My name at the time was Patricia Moore.  Now my name changed two more time because my first husband was Matthew Shaw and now it is Patricia Wand.  My first husband passed away in 1999.  He would have loved to have seen President Obama!  Peace and brotherhood is what it is all about.

Remembering him from birthday parties and BBQ's at Bill and Becky's house, he will be missed.My thought's and prayers for your family, loss at any age is hard.He was always so happy and fun to be around. Thoughts for a smile.

For the Chaid family, Had the honor of meeting David at Bill and Becky's for family birthdays and BBQ's. Know he will be missed. Feeling you sorrow.

While I never had the pleasure of knowing David, he helped to shape one of the best men I know. May Dave's inherent generosity and humor and strength live on in legacy of his father.

Thank you Coach for being a huge part of my wrestling experience throughout the many years.  You set a standard that lead to great accomplishments for both BVAL-CCS.   I will miss your powerful presents but will be reminded of your life when I run into your son-Danny.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. David will be missed but not forgotten.

At WCO I was less than a scrawny 130 pounds. I had no interest in sports for a variety of reasons. In 2002 I chaired my 30 year reunion.  I called Coach. I told him I should have gone out for one of those teams and won a jacket. He said we could always use a runt like me.  I told him Coach, I am over 235!

Coach,  I want to say "Thank You"    There aren't many people who are able to impact so many lives during their visit here on earth.   There aren't many people who can say Coach Chaid was their teacher in high school, and also a  friend for over 40 years.   I am proud to be one of those people. You touched all of us when we were kids, and continued touching our lives throughout our adult lives. Thank you Coach.  Love you Jacki Bardo
